He said he highly valued the STC’s efforts to support all sectors contributing to national development, notably, small and medium-sized enterprises, especially by providing them with up-to-date telecommunication techniques and innovative solutions.

These measures improve their performance strengthen the economy and its internationally-recognized clout, he said.

STC’s patronage of the meeting and accompanying workshop falls in line with its lead strategy in order to upgrade all productive enterprises.

STC is actively taking part in the workshop. It presented a paper on ways to upgrade and develop small and medium-sized enterprises in the Kingdom, highlighting the importance of communication services in addition to information technology.

The paper focused on a number of issues such as a glimpse on telecommunications and information technology, domestic and world markets, future prospects, smartphones’ pioneer role in facilitating and revamping business.

It also stresses the need to take advantage of cloud computing techniques.
