- Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah has praised the Saudi Telecom Co.'s (STC’s) efforts to expand its innovative communication services and its wide-scale presence.
He lauded the strategic partnership between the STC and Saudi governmental sectors in order to creating technology-friendly environment for communications and IT and providing it with the latest innovative techniques of communication.
STC provides networking interconnection (IP/VPN) for the buildings and utilities related to the Ministry of Education all over the Kingdom and interconnect, even, the remotely situated schools through V-SAT. These facilities also enable them to be linked to the ministry’s headquarters (Data Center) to access information and write down the markings through the Ministry’s program (Nour-Faris).
The Education Minister visited STC’s office at the ministry, accompanied by Deputy Education Minister Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, Jarallah Al-Ghamdi, supervisor general of IT at the ministry and senior ministry officials. They were welcomed by STC office’s staff at the Ministry of Education.
The minister was briefed on the STC’s growing role in the Nour-Faris program and the efforts exerted by STC to promote and enhance standards.
He highlighted the need to strengthen the strategic partnership between the ministry and STC in supporting the IP/VPN networking links.
The minister lauded the STC’s commitment to provide the ministry with distinct services, thus contributing to the positive overhaul of the ministry projects.
