- Eisa Al-Eisa, chairman of SambaCapital, has applauded SambaCapital's continued outstanding performance during 2011.
SambaCapital received a total of 11 awards throughout the year, namely “Best Investment House in the Middle East” by Global Finance for the sixth year in a row; “Most Innovative Investment House from the Middle East” by The Banker, 'Project Finance House of the Year in the Middle East and Africa' by Project Finance International (part of the Thomson Reuters group), and “Best Asset Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” by Global Investor magazine.
SambaCapital's continued outstanding performance has established it as the leader in its market, combining its rich heritage with expertise and innovative products that provide customers with the very latest investment products they require.
SambaCapital's award for Project Finance is credited to the positions taken in many of the notable structured finance deals on a local and regional level.
These include SambaCapital's commitment to arrange financing of $500 million on the Barzan Gas deal in Qatar.
The whole deal amounted to $7.25 billion.
Its other achievements include the successful completion of its first private Real Estate Income Generating Fund I, in August 2011.
It also launched the 'Al Ataa Saudi Equities Fund,' a new Shariah compliant investment fund in June 2011.
"For SambaCapital to be consistently recognized and awarded by these institutions, with trusted standards of excellence, is a commendable accomplishment and a testament to the hard work and unrelenting ambition for excellence that is at the core of the SambaCapital family," Al-Eisa said.
Al Eisa was also presented with a "Lifetime Achievement" award by CEO Middle East Magazine, a member of the ITP Executive Publishing Group in recognition for his distinguished professional career and visionary leadership.
