The organization consists of people from north India who have joined hands to provide a platform to expatriates from their region in Jeddah to meet regularly and share their views amid a festive and family atmosphere.

During the launch on Friday, the NIFF’s founder members Fuzail Ahmad, Khwaja Nasir Jamal, Syed Ghazanfar Mumtaz, Iqbal Siddiqui, Waquar Ahmad and Feroz Khan and prominent members of north India residing in Jeddah discussed the by-laws, aims and objectives of the group.

“We shall strive to build smart and confident children through various extra-curricular activities, forge stronger social bonds through recreational interactions among its members and to serve north Indians in all possible ways to promote a strong and vibrant community for a better tomorrow,” the NIFF press release said.

Zia Nadvi and Farzan Ahmad are the patrons of the group while Fuzail Ahmad has been named president.

Other office bearers include: Waquar Ahmad, Feroz Khan and Prakash Rana (vice presidents), Khwaja Nasir Jamal, secretary, Syed Ghazanfar Mumtaz, event coordinator and Iqbal Siddiqui, treasurer.
