The 2nd Saudi Securities Forum will kick off in Riyadh in September, which will be jointly organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

The event, scheduled for Sept. 8-9, will be addressed by a group of economists and financial investment specialists in local and foreign capital markets.

The 2nd forum comes in light of positive results brought by the first forum and their constructive impact on the performance of the capital market, Head of Investment and Securities Committee at RCCI Khalid Abdulaziz Al-Miqairin said.

On the themes of the forum, Al-Miqairin added that it will touch on a number of topics, including the role of the financial system in the protection and support of investments, governance in capital markets, the role of mass media in investment awareness campaigns, corporate and government investments in capital markets, the impact of the Saudi economy on the capital market, and going investments in (Saudi) capital market.

He expressed hope the forum will realize the required goals and make use of work papers to be presented by key economic experts with a view to bringing more development and promotion to the market capital, and to open wider communication channels between investors and financial companies operating in the market.
