The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) dug in at 7,703.25 points on Tuesday.

The index started a sideways walk along the break even line earlier yesterday but it took a sharp uplift just before the closing bell, gaining more than four points or 0.05 percent.

Its trading range narrowed to 27.3 points as compared to 75.9 points of previous day. Only Large Cap continued its downward fall, declining 0.36 percent further.

Most of the major sectors closed in the green territory, accumulating an aggregate of 409.15 points. Agriculture and Retail were major gainers among sectoral indices, which marginally increased by 1.22 percent and 1.19 percent respectively.

On the negative side, six sectors trimmed 184.6 points collectively. Transport sector was the significant decliners, going down one and half percent.

Advancing stocks outnumbered decliners by a margin of 74 to 55 and the prices of 27 companies remained unchanged.

Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Services Co. outperformed among all Saudi equities, reflecting an increment of SR 2.1 or 5.38 percent. Wataniya Insurance followed it, advancing 3.62 percent for the day.

The heavyweight Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO), on the contrary, delivered a largely negative performance, slipping 4.58 percent to close the day at SR145.75.

Tadawul volume with trades over 152.6 million shares remained 28.1 percent greater than previous level but still it was 34.5 percent lower than 50-day average.

Most of the trading was concentrated in Alinma Bank, which appeared to be the most active stock at Tadawul. Its more than 46.4 million shares were traded yesterday, a relative market share of 30.4 percent. It also pumped more liquidity into the market, contributing roughly SR660 million and advancing 2.5 percent for the day.
