RIYADH: The main Saudi index opened higher, as Saudi oil prices fell 60 percent.

As of Tuesday, 10:11 a.m Saudi time, TASI opened 0.19 percent higher at 12,613, while Nomu traded 0.03 percent lower at 25,015.



Scientific and Medical Equipment House Co. jumped 8.28 percent to lead the gain, a recent listing on Tadawul on Feb. 24, while SABB Takaful Co. led the decliners with a drop of 3.52 percent.

In energy trading, Brent crude hit $100.99 per barrel, and US benchmark WTI reached $97.29 per barrel.

Elsewhere, the Makkah Construction & Development Company's shares were down 0.58 percent, as it recovered from earlier losses to post a profit of SR4 million ($1 million) in 2021.

National Medical Care Co. has gained 2.43 percent, after reporting a 40 percent profit increase to $36 million for the year ended 2021.

In the financial sector, Alinma Bank shares rose 0.99 percent, while Al Rajhi Bank's shares rose 0.37 percent.

Hail Cement Co. declined 0.46 percent, after recording a 60 percent decline in profit to SR42 million in 2021.

The shares of the largest player in the Saudi oil market, Aramco climbed 0.12 percent.
