Assila Hotel in Jeddah participated in Movember, an annual event to raise awareness of men’s health issues, on Wednesday.
The event involves the growing of mustaches during the month of November to spread awareness about health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide. The goal of Movember is to “change the face of men’s health.”
The worldwide movement aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Besides annual check-ups, the Movember Foundation encourages men to be aware of family history of cancer and to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Assila created a spa package that aimed to help men prevent those kinds of cancers by re-energizing and deep cleansing their bodies from toxic substances. It started with body composition testing, followed by a personal training session or body scrub, a powerful body massage and foot treatment.
The hotel said its Rocco Forte Spas concept has four components, combining treatments with beauty products, fitness and food, to create the perfect blend to suit each guest individually. Treatments include the “Body Ritual,” which begins with a full body exfoliation and compress, followed by a deeply relaxing massage with Forte Organics essential oils. The gyms in the Assila spa feature cutting-edge Technogym equipment, including machines fitted with an entertainment screen, most specifically on treadmills and stationary bicycles. Professional personal fitness trainers are available for guests.
Located on the 17th and 18th floor of Assila Hotel, the spa occupies a total area of 1,550-square-meters. In addition to a rooftop pool, the spa has a 216-sqaure-meter gym and a 52-square-meter gym, two squash courts, seven treatment rooms, a hairdresser, saunas, steam rooms, experience showers and relaxation rooms.
