Citadines Metro Central Dubai, part of The Ascott Limited chain of hotels, has been awarded the Green Key global standard of environmental excellence within the hospitality sector, for another year running.

Since 2016, the team at the 210-unit hotel apartments, located in Barsha Heights, have been incorporating and maintaining environmental practices, policies and regulations, resulting in exceptional sustainability results, including a combined reduction in energy consumption and waste.

The key major steps that have been taken include: Use of power-saver LED bulbs, use of e-services to reduce paper consumption, use of filters in shower and kitchen areas to avoid excess water usage, switching off lights and AC in vacant units, and availability of three- and six-liter WC flush tanks to save water.
