The Joyalukkas Think Pink movement will again actively undertake various initiatives this month (October) with the mission to spread the awareness on breast cancer. This year the campaign slogan is Check It, Beat It.
“Our commitment to grow this movement of taking a pink pledge to help fight breast cancer continues with more vigor and energy based on the many positive responses we have received over the past 4 years. And to compliment the same, we have Aster DM Healthcare supporting our initiative,” said Sonia John Paul, director, Joyalukkas Group.
The Joyalukkas campaign is a 100 percent non-profit initiative with the single minded objective to educate and empower women with tips and guidance to protect themselves and fight against the dreaded disease. For the last four years, over 200 organizations have joined Joyalukkas Think Pink efforts reaching some 500,000 lives with awareness sessions and informative booklets.
“For the last four years, we have admired the efforts of the Joyalukkas Group in spreading the message about breast cancer across all Joyalukkas locations here in the UAE and internationally,” Alisha Moopen, director, Aster DM Healthcare, said.
“And for us at Aster DM Healthcare, we agree that awareness and education are key to protecting women from the dreaded effects of this disease and we are committed to joining the fight with the best of our knowledge and resources. We are proud to take part in this year’s initiatives and have dedicated staff for the entire month of October to take the lead in conducting free check-ups, consultations and seminars to all participants,” she added.
Under the theme Check It, Beat It, this year’s Joyalukkas Think Pink campaign is set to reach a wider audience and help save more lives with Aster DM Healthcare, a major health care provider in the region, joining the initiative.
