A conference on cardiac failure was recently organized in Jeddah by the Saudi Pharmaceutical Distribution Co. Ltd., a Novartis Saudi Arabia company.

The Saudi Ministry of Health and the Saudi Heart Failure Group collaborated for the event, which was held under the auspices of Dr. Tarif Al-Aamy, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for therapeutic affairs. The conference was attended by physicians, cardiologists, and other health care professionals from across Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Waleed Al-Habeeb, president of Saudi Heart Failure Group, shed light on heart failure, its upward rates, and the risks of mortality among patients, which exceeds the mortality rates for cancer.

He said the event is a platform for providing the right information about heart failure, in order to improve the patients’ quality of life and create innovative medical solutions.

The two-day conference covered a range of topics related to heart failure, including papers and lectures delivered by physicians and cardiologists from inside the Kingdom and abroad.
