The Mall at the World Trade Centre (WTCAD) hosted an array of cultural and heritage activities, including Al-Ayala dancing, children’s workshops, face painting and henna art to celebrate the 47th National Day, across the public holidays from Dec. 1-3. For visitors of all ages, The Mall at WTCAD also hosted a special Sheikh Zayed photo exhibition, which gave a fascinating insight into the world of the founding father of the UAE.

Specially for National Day, The Mall had partnered with the National Archive to bring “The Unity of the Emirates Story.” Over the extended weekend, visitors had access to a unique collection of rare photographic footage on the formation of the UAE. This included photos of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, when he met with the leaders of the other UAE emirates to sign the founding constitution.

Yasser Al-Marzouqi, general manager of The Mall at WTCAD, said: “As an Emirati company, The Mall at WTCAD is proud to offer an array of traditional and patriotic activities that celebrate the unity of the UAE.”
