Turkish Cargo has been awarded with the “Overall Carrier of the Year” prize in the customer’s choice category at the 33rd annual Payload Asia Awards. The event is organized by the Payload Asia Group and aims at honoring carriers for excellence in the air cargo industry.
Turkish Cargo recorded a strong growth in September and an increase of 27 percent in its freight and mail volume for a total of 810,000 tons for the period January-September.
The awards were decided by the readers of Payload Asia magazine, air cargo customers and business partners of Payload Asia, a member of the Federation of Asia Pacific Aircargo Association (FAPAA).
The awards were unveiled at the annual ceremony attended by distinguished guests from around the world.
Turkish Airlines covers 300 destinations worldwide offering a belly cargo capacity of 313 aircraft and providing 16 dedicated freighter aircraft to 72 destinations through 60 countries. Turkish Cargo said it strives to become the most preferred air carrier in the sector.
