The detected cases bring the total of infected people to 68,020 since the coronavirus pandemic broke out in the UAE.

There has also been a fatality and 316 recoveries overnight, bringing death toll to 378 and number of recovered patients to 59,070.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi promised to pay for the coronavirus testing of all teachers and staff at the emirate’s 205 private schools ahead of the new school year.

UAE has suspended school attendance since March to curb the spread of coronavirus, and various safety and health measures are being implemented before students return this year.
