Haagen-Dazs, a global cream brand, opened the Haagen Dazs Al Gosaibi Cafe for the connoisseurs in Alkhobar.
The brand celebrated the event in the presence of Al-Sharqia Chamber’s Chairman Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Otaishan, Secretary General Abdulrahman Al-Wabel and members of the chamber’s board of directors, in addition to a select group of VIPs.
The ceremony host was Al Othman Holding Company, represented by Abdulaziz Al-Othman, who welcomed the guests and showcased a range of unique flavors created and produced by the Haagen-Dazs brand.
Mehdi Berrada, general mills' regional senior brand manager for Haagen-Dazs, paid tribute to the efforts made by Al-Othman Holding on behalf of the brand. “This new Haagen-Dazs Cafe will strengthen the iconic ice-cream brand's presence in Alkhobar, and is one of the first venues to incorporate the brand's new exclusive and luxurious design," he said.
"It heralds the new ongoing hospitality outlets Haagen-Dazs is planning for Saudi Arabia, which will see it extend its presence throughout the Kingdom. The new design will make visits to our cafe an even more luxurious experience for our consumers.”
The Haagen-Dazs Al-Gosaibi cafe joins the brand's existing outlets in the Kingdom, bringing the number of cafes to 40 in total in the region. This comes ahead of an ambitious expansion drive, which should see the House of Haagen-Dazs extend its hospitality and unique experience closer to its consumers throughout Saudi Arabia.
This is in line with a most successful year in the region for the haute couture of ice-cream brands. Launched in May 2013, the new House of Haagen-Dazs was announced, conveying its philosophy of iconic luxury, experience and superior craftsmanship much in the way a fashion house would do.
Haagen-Dazs has plans to schedule several special events at the new Al-Gosaibi cafe.
