Rocco Forte opens Assila Hotel in Jeddah

Rocco Forte Hotels has opened its new Assila Hotel in Jeddah, on Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Street (Tahlia Street).
A limited number of rooms are now available for booking starting from SR1,600 per night and reservations are now being taken for the remaining rooms, which will be available from Feb. 1.
Placed at the center of Jeddah’s most fashionable business and shopping district, Assila Hotel is described as the ideal destination for business visitors and leisure guests who wish to enjoy the European warmth, charm and outstanding level of bespoke service of Rocco Forte Hotels, enhanced by traditional Arabian hospitality.
Occupying two towers, Assila Hotel consists of 147 deluxe, superior deluxe and executive rooms, 63 suites and 94 fully-serviced residential suites.
Created and run by Sir Rocco Forte and his family, Assila Hotel embodies four generations of hospitality. Each member plays a role in the creation of the hotels and the expertise and care of the family can be felt throughout the Rocco Forte Hotels experience.
The two families of Al Issa and Forte unite to present Arabian and European values of hospitality in a natural, warm hearted ambience.
Assila Hotel is designed by Sir Rocco Forte’s sister Olga Polizzi, who is director of design at Rocco Forte Hotels. Polizzi has worked closely with Martin Brudnizki, a world renowned designer of major institutions across Europe and the United States. The Assila houses 2,000 pieces of artwork created by Saudi artists.
For food lovers Assila Hotel currently offers fine dining at the Twenty Four restaurant and delicious homemade Italian patisseries, ice creams and cakes at Il Caffé coffee lounge, both open 24 hours daily. Traditional Arabic mezze are served Al fresco on the terrace overlooking Tahlia Street. General Manager Frank Heller said: “We are proud to be the first Rocco Forte hotel in Saudi Arabia.”
