The refrigerator has been one of the most important innovations in home appliances category over the last century.

The modern refrigerator comes with strategically placed cooling vents which ensure cool air inside the refrigerator is circulated in a uniform manner, so there is no discrepancy in the cooling.

LG InstaView Refrigerator has been designed with the same instinct, to leave the knockers in awe with its sleek mirrored glass panel. Now, just knock twice and see what’s inside without even opening the door.

After extensive consumer research, LG has incorporated the “knock” feature into the InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator. The research found that consumers opened their refrigerator door 79 times per day on average, causing a waste of cold air and energy.

As a result, there were a higher number of users forgetting to close the door, despite 56 percent stating that they disliked it when the refrigerator was left open. In order to resolve this consumer pain point, LG introduced the innovative knock-on feature.

Since the refrigerator is not opened every now and then, there is less loss of cold air. The efficiency and performance of the refrigerator become better and helps in maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the refrigerator.

Meanwhile, the Door-in-Door compartment allows users to easily store frequently accessed snacks and beverages. It also helps reduce cold-air loss by up to 41 percent and keeps the food fresher for longer.

The refrigerator has a built-in inverter linear compressor, which can save energy up to 32 percent and reduce noise up to 25 percent, enhancing household energy efficiency.
