Madinah governor stresses need to improve water services

  • The governor reviewed a presentation on water and sanitation service projects, strategies to improve them, and future plans for 2021

MADINAH: Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman on Saturday stressed the importance of collaboration and cooperation between the National Water Co. (NWC) and relevant government agencies to improve the efficiency of water and sanitation services in the region, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
He noted that there were 69 projects being implemented in the region with an estimated value of SR3 billion ($780 million).
Prince Faisal’s statement came during his meeting with the officials of the northwest sector of the NWC, and director general of water services in the region.
Prince Faisal said there was an urgent need to complete the projects, taking into account environmental protection measures, to provide the best services in line with the highest international levels.
The governor also reviewed a presentation on water and sanitation service projects, strategies to improve them, and future plans for 2021.

King Salman arrives in Neom

RIYADH: King Salman arrived in the Saudi city of Neom to rest and recuperate, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Thursday.

 

 

The king left hospital on July 30 after he underwent surgery at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh with an inflamed gallbladder on July 20.
