DUBAI: British-Lebanese model and actress Razane Jammal attended the photocall for Netflix’s first Egyptian original, “Paranormal,” on Tuesday evening in Egypt. For the occasion, the actress, who portrays Maggie Mckillop in the series based off of Egyptian sci-fi book series “Ma Waraa al-Tabeea,” wore a black leather mini dress with scallop details from Zuhair Murad’s resort 2020 collection.

The star, who gained prominence for her role as Lana Jarrar in Olivier Assayas’ award-winning mini-series “Carlos,” accessorized the look with jewelry from Damas and black pumps. The look was put together by Egyptian stylist Yasmin Eissa, one of the most sought-after stylists in Egypt.

Set in the 1960s, the new series follows Refaat Ismail’s attempts at uncovering a series of mysterious and unsolved supernatural events. To do so, the hematologist, who is played by Ahmed Amin, and his colleague, Mckillop, have to wander deep into the world of the supernatural. The film is set to make its premiere on Netflix on Thursday.
