Pakistani kickboxer knocks out Indian fighter in BKK championship in Dubai

ISLAMABAD: Young Pakistani kickboxer Shakeel Abdullah Chandio made an impressive international debut on Saturday as he knocked out his Indian opponent Muhammad Shuhaib in the BKK Kickboxing Championship in Dubai. 

One of the clips from the bout showed Chandio delivering the knockout blow in the second round of the fight. 

The Pakistani kickboxer, who is coached by renowned MMA fighter Rizwan Khan Orakzai, dedicated his victory to flood survivors in Pakistan. 

On Friday, Chandio was also seen packing relief items for Pakistan flood affectees at a camp set up by the Pakistan Association Dubai. 

"I came here... they are doing a great job for flood relief funds," he said in a video message. "I felt great coming here."

The BKK Kickboxing Championship is ongoing in Dubai with a star-studded 10-fight card that features 20 fighters and multiple championship winners from around the world. 

With the latest win, Chandio has extended his undefeated record to 16 bouts on the professional circuit. 

This was Shuhaib's third defeat on the professional circuit and he now has 14 wins in 17 bouts.
