LONDON: American rock band the Foo Fighters will headline the after-race concert on the final day of the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

Organizers said on Tuesday that four nights of live music at Etihad Park on Yas Island will begin on Nov. 23 with performances by Dutch DJ Tiesto and American pop diva Ava Max. The remaining acts, including the headliners on Nov. 24 and 25, are yet to be announced.

The Foo Fighters concert, on Nov. 26, will be the group’s only international show this year, as they begin a comeback tour following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022.

Access to all of the after-race concerts is exclusive to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders. The shows are being organized by Ethara, an events and entertainment company officially launched on Tuesday that was created by a merger of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management and Flash Entertainment.

With offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh, it said its aim is to stage world class entertainment events across the Middle East. The name of the company comes from the Arabic word for “thrill.”
