RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef is in Tunis, heading the Kingdom’s delegation in a joint committee meeting that started on Tuesday.

Speaking during the 11th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee, Alkhorayef pointed out that the religious, cultural, and social heritage that brought both nations together represented a solid base to consolidate and deepen these relations.
“We aspire, through the meetings of this committee, to build on the solid legacy of relations between our two countries, to advance them in all fields, and to reach wider and broader horizons, to contribute to achieving the aspirations of the leadership of the two countries,” he said.
Alkhorayef added: “Given that Tunisia enjoys important mineral resources such as iron, copper and lead, we stress the importance of examining investment opportunities in these areas and obtaining operational concessions in Tunisia.”
The minister went on to express his appreciation for the signing of seven memorandums of understanding between the two sides in the fields of industry, tourism and environment, as well as agricultural scientific research, meteorology, climate and water on the sidelines of this session.
