TRIVANDRUM, 26 January 2004 — Celebrated Malayalam writer V.K. Narayanankutty Nair, whose writings paved the way to a unique humor literature with the efficient strategy of language manipulation, passed away at his residence in Thiruvilwamala in Palghat, yesterday evening at the age of 79.
Popularly known as VKN, Nair is author of more than 50 books. He was undergoing treatment for brain cancer for quite some time, but remained active as a writer with sharp language till his death.
