LONDON: The London Muslim Shopping Festival returns this weekend showcasing options for travel, halal dining and cultural activities, organizers said.
The family event, now in its sixth year, will be held on Feb. 24 and 25 at the London Excel exhibition center, and is open to non-Muslims.
The organizers said in a statement on Wednesday “visitors can discover a plethora of destinations that cater to the needs and preferences of Muslim travelers.”
Some of London’s leading halal restaurants will feature a diverse range of dishes from across the world.
The heart of the event is the shopping festival, where exhibitors will display the latest trends in modest fashion, Islamic art, home decor, beauty products, and more.
“This section provides a unique shopping experience, offering visitors the opportunity to explore and purchase products that align with their values and lifestyles,” the organizers said.
Waleed Jahangir, founder and organizer, said: “We are excited to bring back the London Muslim Shopping Festival to Excel London for another incredible edition.
“This event is not only a shopping extravaganza but also a platform to celebrate and embrace the diversity and richness of Muslim culture, with the inclusion of the Muslim Travel Show and Halal Dining, we aim to create a holistic experience for our visitors, catering to their interests in travel, dining, and lifestyle.”
The event will feature over 250 international businesses, as well as a food court, children’s zone, cookery theater and prayer area.
