JEDDAH, 24 November 2004 — Egyptian actor Sayed Zayan was admitted to Jeddah’s Soliman Faqih Hospital two days ago in serious condition. The actor was in the same hospital a year ago. Arab News has learned that he suffered a stroke which affects his speech. Last year he responded positively to the medication but his condition remains serious.
Sayed Zayan has starred in many plays during his show business career. His first hit was in the famous Egyptian comedy, “My Fair Lady.” Though he has also preferred theater, he has also worked in films and TV series.
Other Egyptian actors who receive treatment at the Jeddah hospital include Younes Shalabi and Sabri Abdul-Muneim.
