Saudi crown prince receives Eritrea president, UN chief in Riyadh

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Eritrea’s President Isaias Afwerki at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Wednesday (top).

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Eritrea’s President Isaias Afwerki at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Wednesday, Saudi Press Agency reported. 

During the meeting, they reviewed Saudi-Eritrean relations, prospects for joint cooperation in various fields, and ways to develop them. They also discussed a number of issues of common interest.

Prince Mohammed later met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in a separate meeting. 

The two officials reviewed the latest regional and international developments and ways to support efforts to enhance global security and stability.
