ISTANBUL: The 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and associated meetings took place in Istanbul on Thursday, with Saudi Arabia’s delegation headed by Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh.
The delegation also includes Secretary-General of the Shura Council Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Shura Council member and member of the Executive Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna, and Shura Council members and IPU members Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Waleed Abdulshakoor, Raida Abu Nayan, Dr. Reema Al-Yahya, Ali Al-Qahtani, and Abdullah Al-Madi.
The assembly brings together speakers of parliaments from around the world, along with parliamentarians and representatives of international organizations, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
