Saudi Arabia, Uruguay sign sports cooperation pact
  • Agreement covers exchange of programs, expertise and technology, with cooperation in sports medicine, anti-doping and Paralympic sport

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday in the US with Uruguay’s National Sports Secretary Alejandro Pereda.

The signing ceremony was attended by Uruguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mario Lubetkin.

The pact covers the exchange of programs, expertise, technologies, and information, along with cooperation in sports medicine, anti-doping measures, and sports for people with disabilities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The agreement is a part of the ministry’s vision and objectives to strengthen partnerships with regional and international sports entities, in line with national targets to develop the sector.
