- Program focuses on strengthening participants’ understanding of Islamic rulings, applying them to contemporary issues
DAKAR: The seventh training course for imams and preachers has been launched in Dakar by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, through the religious attache at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal.
The five-day course, held at a Qur’an and Sunnah outreach center, brings together 120 imams and preachers from Dakar and other regions.
It focuses on strengthening participants’ understanding of Islamic rulings, applying them to contemporary issues, and promoting moderation in issuing religious rulings.
The program is part of the ministry’s overseas scholarly initiatives, reflecting its efforts to spread authentic Islamic knowledge, train imams and preachers, and promote the values of moderation worldwide.
Earlier this month, the ministry organized a four-day training course for imams, khateebs, and preachers in Bangkok, Thailand, which was attended by more than 50 people.
The course covered key Shariah topics, promoted moderation and balance, warned against extremism and religious innovations, and strengthened participants’ understanding of the correct creed and their dawah skills.
