The Authority of Senior Saudi Scholars will hold its 76th meeting in Taif today under its chairman Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Ashaikh, who serves as president of the department for Scholarly Research and Ifta.
Secretary General of the authority Sheikh Fahd bin Saad Al-Majid said scholars will discuss a number of important issues ready for final approval. He said a number of specialized committees have studied the topics and prepared reports.
Al-Majid said the assistance of a number of government departments was sought in each area of specialization including the Ministry of Interior. He added that through cooperation with the Ministry of Health, a special medical report was prepared on one of the topics to be tackled by the authority.
