Iftikhar’s stars as YACA tourneys take off

Iftikhar’s unbeaten ton helped Shah-XI score an easy 102 win over Man Health Club in the 40-over, Division I, cricket tournament sponsored by Jotun Paints and organized by the Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah Cricket Association.
Shah-XI batted, first after they won the toss, and scored 311 for 7. Iftikhar was the hero of the day as he scored a match-winning unbeaten 109 runs. Saeed with 64 gave him good support. Naveed got 2 for 63.
Man Health Club did not look in contention from the start and could post only 209 runs off 31.1 overs. Man-of-the-Match: Iftikhar.
In the T-20 match, Cristal XI edged past Pak Cresent by 4 runs. Cristal scored 124 Pak Crescent put Cristal XI in after winning the toss. Khan brothers Ahmedullah Khan and Naseem Khan scored 30 and 27 runs respectively. Sarfaraz took 4 for 28. Nadeem got 3 for 18. In reply, Arif and Asif gave Pak Crescent a rollicking start and scored 31 runs in the first two overs. The going was tough after that as Pak Crescent lost three wickets with 39 runs on board.

In the Jotun’s Division-II league match, electing to field first, Yanbu Youth’s Mudassir took the first three wickets to make Worley Parson 5 for 35 off 8 overs. Mudassir was the most successful bowler for Yanbu Youth who took 4 for 8. Worley Parson scored 116.
Yanbu Youth scored the required runs off 16 overs with Salman (25) and Dhaval (21) being the main scorers.
In another match of the same division, Royal Commission defeated Saudi Ossan by 18 runs. Ameer Ali (73) and Imran Khan (32) were the main scorers. RC scored 162 for 5.
In reply Saudi Ossan at one stage were 5 for 33. A disciplined 53 by Amir Hussan and 33 by Arham Khan were not enough to reach the winning target and Saudi Ossan were all out for 142. Imran was the most successful bowler for Royal Commission as he took 3 for 10 runs.
In the last Division-II match Pak Crescent (B) beat Punjab XI by 64 runs. Batting first, Pak Crescent’s Rashid scored an unbeaten 42 in a total 167. In reply Punjab XI could only put up 103 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
