Indian school higher board members named

The higher board of the international Indian schools in the Kingdom has been reconstituted by the Indian Embassy.
Indian Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao announced Milind Pendharkar from Riyadh as the new board president, with Hasan Ghias from Jeddah and John Thomas from Dammam as members. The tenure of the current higher board will end in May 2016.
Jeddah-based Ghias, an alumnus of India’s Aligarh Muslim University, is senior vice president at Binzagr Company. A highly respected member of the Indian community, he has held top positions in community organizations and was also chairman of the city's international Indian school managing committee in the past.
Thomas has served as chairman of International Indian School-Dammam’s managing committee for many years. He enjoys immense goodwill in the Indian community in the Eastern Province.
Outgoing higher board members Dr. M.S. Karimuddin and Dr. S.U. Rahman were praised for their commendable work.
According to the charter that governs Indian schools, the higher board retains considerable authority over the elected managing committees.
