Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah highly commended the innovative exhibits displayed at an exhibition held at the King Abdulaziz and Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity in Riyadh on Wednesday.
“I am deeply impressed by the high quality of innovation presented by Saudi students and professionals who have made a commendable endeavor to explore new advances in the field of medicine,” Al-Rabeeah told newsmen following his tour of the exhibition.
The minister said that these achievements would not have been possible without the generous support of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and the continuous interest taken by Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah.
The exhibition, which was focused on the theme “innovation builds a society cognitively,” was held for the third year in a row. The minister said that exhibitors will be given support and guidance to develop and market their products successfully.
The Ministry of Health displayed its products and services through three pavilions at the show. They included a general pavilion and another two on King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh and King Abdullah Medical City.
The medical innovation included remedies for jet lag, how to identify real labor pains, instant ways of treating earache and how to reduce recurrent pain in patients suffering from malignant diseases.
Al-Rabeeah said the two medical cities in Riyadh and Makkah have been rendering useful services to the people in those two regions.
The King Abdulaziz and Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity was designed to transform the Kingdom into a creative community of young, gifted and innovative leaders and cadres with distinctive education and training to help in the transition to a knowledge-based society and achieve sustainable development.
Its mission is to support the construction and development of an environment and a society of creativity and to enable the gifted to exploit and harness their talents to the service of the nation.
