Faisal Khan slams ton in Inter-School cricket

RIYADH: Pakistan International School Riyadh, Nasriya got the better of Royal Academy of Cricket Combined School XI by 22 runs in the third round of the Inter-School cricket tournament under-16 section, organized by the Riyadh Cricket League at the RCL complex last week.
In three other matches played, International Indian School Riyadh (A) routed International Indian School Riyadh (B) by 73 runs in the under-16 section, Pakistan International School Riyadh, Nasriya made short work of International Indian School Riyadh (A) by 144 runs in the under-19 section while in the same group Pakistan International School, English Section, got the better of International Indian School Riyadh (B) by 6 wickets.
PISR-N batted first and scored 194 runs. Mubashir (37), Abdullah (35), Yasir (28) and Salman (17) were the main contributors. Zowair took 3 wickets for the bowling side.
In reply RAC failed to achieve the target and were bowled out for 171 runs. Nawaz top-scored with 32 runs. Sulaiman Khan claimed 4 wickets while Abdullah took 2.

In another match, IISR-A put on board 197 runs against IISR-B. Mukul was in good form and scored 64 runs followed by Aakefin (57) and Sohail (36). Zohair bagged 2 wickets. In reply IISR-B failed to chase the total and were bowled out for 121 runs. Omar (19), Imar (14), Ahad (16) and Misbah (16) did their best. Mukul and Amir took 2 wickets each.
Man-of-the-Match: Mukul.
In the under-19 section, PISR-N’s Faisal Khan scored a match winning 142 runs. He along with Omer (76) put up 211 runs for the opening partnership in a total of 247 runs.
In reply IISR-A failed to achieve the total and bowled out for 103 runs. Hisham was the only batsman who made 19 runs while Abdul Rahman got 14. Omer and Amin bowled well and claimed 3 wickets each while Yasir took 2.

In the same section, IISR-B put up 152 runs against PISR-ES. Hadi (48) and Majid (19) provided a good opening stand of 79 runs. Shaheer later propped up the innings with his 32. Zain bagged 2 wickets.
In reply PISR-ES reached their target in 14.2 overs. Usama played a sensible inning of 46 runs. Kaleem (25), Asad (19) and Anas (18) were the other run-getters.
