GCF delegates visit museum

Delegates from the Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) 2014 visited the national museum to learn more about the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
Ali Al-Ghabban, vice-president of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), along with the museum staff welcomed the delegates upon their arrival.
The delegates were in the Kingdom to attend the 7th annual global forum, which concluded on Monday. The forum witnessed a diversified array of speakers and initiated a dialogue on the role of competitiveness in the Kingdom’s growing economy.
“They listened to detailed explanations on the exhibits, which highlight the successive civilizations that had taken place in the Arabian Peninsula as well as the deep rooted values and cultures in the region,” an official from the museum said.
“The group expressed its admiration of the museum, which sheds light on the history of the Kingdom through the ages,” he said.
