‘Ja Jawazat’ is a good effort

This is with reference to the report “Khalli Walli honored for ‘Ja Jawazat’ video” (May 2).
When the song “Kolaveri” went viral on the YouTube, we saw many versions of the song until the release of the “Ja Jawazat” video. I must admit to watching this video more than a dozen times and sharing it with many of my friends.
Although the artists in the video are all amateurs, they performed brilliantly and they successfully managed to convey their message effectively. I believe this is the best way to educate the not-so educated. In the meantime, we compliment Salman Al-Yahya, director general of Passport Department, for awarding the producers in appreciation of the group’s excellent work. May we call it an “Oscar” for “Ja Jawazat.”
