Williams was upset with Gaza

This refers to Aijaz Zaka Syed’s article, “Robin Williams and the silent killer amidst us.” (Aug. 15)
All the fans of Robin Williams are upset after hearing his suicide. The 63-year-old Oscar winning actor hanged himself with a belt in his bedroom at his home in Tiburon, in northern California. His millions of fans all over the globe were in a shock to learn about the death of one of the funniest men on earth. The countless times he made us laugh and the joy he gave to millions of people will always be cherished and remembered. Whether you are talented individual with all the riches that go with it or someone who struggles through life making ends meet, depression is a disease, it can hit anyone and his/her life can become a living hell.
Williams like many others who suffer from this terrible disease still managed to deliver some of the most long lasting moments of pleasure that will live long in the memory. Williams said in a recent interview that he was ashamed to have been associated with Jews, who were responsible for the innocent children’s deaths in Gaza. Perhaps that may be one reason that pushed him over the top. He was really saddened by the way these children were mercilessly killed by the Israeli forces in their houses, schools, hospitals and even while playing on the beach. — S.H. Moulana, Riyadh
