Medina Diamonds win 2nd MCA Natco Cup

Medina Diamonds won the 2nd MCA Natco Cup cricket tournament 2014 by beating Airport Eleven in the final.
This tournament is sponsored for the second time by Natco Jeddah.
At ground No. 5 in Al-Aqool cricket complex, Airport Eleven won the toss and chose to bat. In the allotted 20 overs Airport eleven scored 154 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Out of nine wickets four batsmen got run out. Irfan managed to get 24, Captain Arshad Raza 23 and senior player Zafar Abbasi 20. Faisal and Qayum from Medina Diamonds got two wickets each. Shoeb took one.
In reply, Medina lost its first batsman on the very first ball of the game. However, captain Iftikhar and Ali Shair took charge by establishing an 85 runs partnership. Iftikhar scored 39 including six boundaries and Ali Shair had 55 runs with eight boundaries. Qayum and Faisal also contributed 24 and 22 runs respectively. From Airport Eleven, Irfan and Moin shared four wickets between them. Medina Diamonds achieved the target in 17th over while losing six wickets.
Fayyaz Chauhan from Pak Eagle and Asif from Pepsi supervised the final.
Ghulam Qadir Nakyana, senior member of MCA committee, attended the match as a special guest. Munawar Ali Jawed from Jeddah, Rauf and Yousyf were also among the dignitaries present during the final match.
MCA will hold the prize distribution ceremony at a later date to coincide with a festival match.
