TBWA/RAAD names Reda Raad as CEO

TBWA/RAAD, one of the Middle East’s major advertising networks, announced that Reda Raad, who served as the company’s chief operating officer, has been named the CEO of the company. The announcement was made by Ramzi Raad, chairman of TBWA/RAAD Middle East who was joined by Troy Ruhanen, president and CEO of TBWA Worldwide at an event celebrating their 15th anniversary of operations.
Raad started his career with the company shortly after a partnership with TBWA was forged in the Middle East. He was one of the key transformers of the agency from a small startup of only four people into what is now one of the major communications groups in the region. He helped in the expansion strategy of the group adding new divisions, including Integer Shopper Marketing, Ketchum/RAAD Public Relations Consultancy, and TBWA’s Digital Arts Network (DAN.)
The company celebrates its 15-year anniversary of operations as one of the highly awarded creative agencies in the UAE. The Group Chairman, Ramzi Raad, stated: “I am confident that Reda will lead our network of 15 full service agencies across the MENA, which is home to more than 1,000 employees and usher us into a new era.”
The TBWA/RAAD Group serves flagship brands such as Nissan, Dubai Events and Promotional Establishment, Philips, Henkel, Qatar Foundation, Al Marai, Standard Chartered Bank and others.
The group plans to double down its efforts in Saudi and Egypt and continue to bolster the strength of its UAE headquarters. “We are ready to embark on the next 15 years — with heavy focus on accelerating on digital, mobile and creating powerful content for our clients and their brands,” Raad said. “With a strong pulse on how to serve the culture and the people of the region — we will continue to work hard.”
