Media campaign to highlight Haia role in serving society

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) has embarked on a media blitzkrieg to project significant role of Haia in serving the community.
The new move was announced by Haia President Abdul Rahman Al-Sanad as part of the organization’s strategic plans and functions.
A number of officials in addition to the presidential advisers in the field of public relations, media and communications were present.
Al-Sanad said Haia will set up a higher committee for undertaking the mission by utilizing various media and other promotional outlets to highlight its legal duties and role.
He said the new committee has started its tasks by creating vision and mission such as institutional building and promotion of a culture of goodwill work among other activities.
Al-Sanad observed that among the most prominent programs within the framework of its objectives are formulation of legal media, field policy and administrative entities relevant to a unified mechanism to deal with the media.
Activating partnerships and integration with the relevant authorities and seeking cooperation with media-related firms have also been planned. He highlighted Haia’s efforts on education and guidance as well as other programs that, he said, serve this goal. Producing media awareness programs on spreading the values and confronting
abusive campaign were also unveiled.
Efforts will also be taken to focus on new media in order to achieve the goals within the framework of this plan, and in accordance with the regulations and instructions.
Plans are under way to intensify the presence of Haia in forums and meetings through the establishment of permanent and mobile exhibitions, which highlights the role of awareness and its field duties.
