The king exchanged greetings marking the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, praying to Allah Almighty to guide them all on the right path to serve their religion and homeland.
Addressing the event, he prayed to Allah Almighty to bless Bahrain and its people, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations with progress, peace and stability. He thanked Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajeri, head of Isa bin Salman Mosque Institute for Islamic Studies, who delivered a lecture on foundations of coexistence in Bahraini society. He spoke about Bahrain, the country of co-existence between faiths and religious doctrines.
"This holy month is a great occasion for all of us to reflect on what unites us, joins our ranks, strengthens our brotherhood, and preserves our security," the king said.
"This month is also an opportunity to reflect on the meanings of our fraternity, which draws its strength from the teachings of our religion and the bonds of blood and kinship as well as our love for this beloved homeland," the king said, stressing the need to preserve the blessings which Allah Almighty bestowed on us and protect them with unity.
