JEDDAH: OFBC bowlers swung back into action after the Ramadan break during the OFBC Monthly Tournament for June at the Ice Land Bowling Center here recently.
Carmen Duma stole the show when she won her third straight Bowler of the Month title and fourth overall, the most of any bowler in the competition leading up to the Bowler of the Year finals in December.
Duma was the hands down winner in the ladies division, shooting 711 during the four games sudden death with handicap format that was used due to the less number of entries.
Before her three-month winning streak that began April Duma had earlier won the tournament for February.
Delia Javing was the first runner-up on 689 with Babes Yushimine 2nd runner-up on 634.
Christopher Sayson, a beginning bowler, etched his name on the list of first-time winners after he defeated Ric Nangel in the men’s final.
The top qualifier in his class from the four games elimination, Sayson rolled two-game series of 452 to Nangel’s 445. Class C boweler Benj Espino was second runner-up on 431 with Jude Vivero third runner-up on 413.
Zikato Construction through Operations Manager Cesar Alberto Zuniga is the tournament sponsor.
