RIYADH: Yuksel Insaat, one of the leading companies in the Turkish construction industry, celebrated its four decades of success in the Kingdom by marking the 92nd Republic Day of Turkey.
“We would like to celebrate our successful journey of four decades with our citizens as well as our Saudi and foreign companions on the Turkish republic day. This year we are celebrating the 92nd anniversary and in couple of years we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary.
“As our 40th year in Saudi Arabia will coincide with this event, we are really excited to celebrate this auspicious occasion,” Ahmet Halavuk, president of Yukel Saudia, told Arab News.
He said as a construction company “we are preparing ourselves to contribute handsomely to the expanding Saudi market.”
Yuksel Insaat, he said, was established in 1963 in Ankara and played an active role in the development of Turkey’s infrastructure through numerous contracts covering transportation, energy, environment and industrial projects.
The firm expanded its operations to international construction industry in 1984 and established Yuksel Insaat Saudia Co. Ltd, he added.
From being a major player in the Turkish construction industry, it has emerged as a major player in Saudi Arabia and across the entire Middle East, said Halavuk.
The company has provided its services in 15 different countries since 1963, which places it among the top international contractors around the world.
This is also proven by the Top 250 International Contractors List by Engineering News Record 2014, where Yuksel is ranked among the top 150.
Expanding its services, Yuksel Saudia has, so far, contributed to many prestigious projects in the Kingdom.
Total value of the completed projects is almost SR8.2 billion.
Some key projects of the Yuksel Saudia includes Yanbu Madinah Water Transmission System Phase II, Riyadh Qassim Water Transmission System, Madinah-Yanbu Steam and Power Plant Phase II, Jubail Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant, Jubail-Riyadh Line C High Point Terminal and Reservoirs, Eastern Province Water Transmission System Phase II from Jubail to Dammam, Dammam University Infrastructure, Baysh Dam, Damad Dam, Murwani Dam, King Faisal University Infrastructure Phase I, III, IV and VI as well as the infrastructure of King Faisal University Teaching Hospital in Al-Hassa.
In the meantime the company continues to carry out other major projects in the Kingdom representing its proficiency and reputation in the sector.
Design, Build and Construction Services for King Khalid Air Base, Khamis Musayt for Royal Saudi Air Force, Riyadh Bus Transit Project and Abu Bakr Siddique Road Development Project for Ar-Riyadh Development Authority (ADA), Sea Water Pump Station Project for Royal Commission Yanbu and Jubail, Storm Water Network Project for Riyadh Municipality, Girls College Complex for University of Dammam and Ministry of Higher Education are some of the significant ongoing projects in the Kingdom, he said.
The total value of the ongoing projects is almost SR6 billion, he added.
“In addition to ongoing projects, we are currently negotiating on the contract terms of large-scale projects in the Kingdom, which will retain our position as a key player in the Saudi construction industry,” he underlined.
“At Yuksel, we always aim to present ourselves as a well-established contracting entity matching the highest global standards, offering reliable services with our qualified work force by using advanced technologies,” he maintained.
Yuksel possess ISO 9001 Quality Reassurance System Certificate, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate and valuable company manuals to assure the proper execution of these certified management systems.
Yuksel has also launched an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program toward the end of 2009 in procurement, cost, accounting and quality of its final product more efficiently.
