QURAYYAT, Al Jouf: A family of four plus their maid died in a road accident on Sunday along the international highway that links Al Hamad Center and Ayn Al Hawaas in Al Jouf region.
Red Crescent spokesman Hamdan Al Dowiehi said the operations room was alerted by road security about the accident.
Five teams were sent and found three children, a woman and a maid had not survived. Another woman and a man were injured and taken to emergency room at the Al Qurayyat General Hospital.
The Red Crescent on Monday also reported that an Egyptian national died in a car collision in Arar governorate, Northern Borders Region. The expat, who was driving a vehicle, was severely injured in the head and Civil Defense responders had to free him from inside his wrecked car.
In yet another road accident, one person died and two others injured when a 4x4 vehicle skidded into a barber’s shop in Makkah.
Colonel Fawzi Al Ansari, a spokesman of the traffic police department in Makkah, said a16-year-old Saudi lost control of the vehicle he was driving and it skidded and crashed into the barber’s shop in the Shra’eh area at 5:46 p.m. Sunday.
The accident resulted in the death of a Pakistani national and injuries to the car driver and a Yemeni.
