Gulf Industry Fair features 60 exhibitors

Gulf Industry Fair 2016 was officially opened on Tuesday by Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, prime minister of Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).
The GCC’s industrial show presented a total of 60 local and international exhibitors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the United States, the UK, Poland and Germany.
Jubran Abdulrahman, MD of show organizer Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE), says: “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Shaikh Khalifa for providing his endless support to Gulf Industry Fair and its aims.”
Companies at the exhibition represented the aluminum, energy and environment, industrial metals, industrial processes and manufacturing, ports and maritime, industrial facilities and logistics, training for industry, and industrial safety and security sectors.
On Feb. 10, Gulf Industry Fair 2016 will be hosting the Innovation for Industry Forum, with the support of Zayed R. Al-Zayani, minister of industry, commerce and tourism.
“The Middle East is becoming increasingly reliant on its industrial base. The GCC’s leading industrial capitals remain positive for 2016. Gulf Industry Fair’s ninth edition is a positive insight into the innovative capacity of the Gulf’s industrial companies to compete at a global level,” Abdulrahman added.
The fair is sponsored by the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) with the support of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and Aluminium Bahrain (Alba). Sector sponsors also include Majaal for the industrial facilities sector, Arabian Ship Repair Yard (ASRY) for the ports and maritime sector, and Ahmed Mansoor Al’ali, for the industrial processes and manufacturing. “This year the expo has seen an increase of international and regional participation,” Ahmed Suleiman, HCE Exhibitions director, said.
Gulf Industry Fair is open to business visitors from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. till Feb. 11.
