RIYADH: Health Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has praised the outstanding services rendered by the King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) to the nation.
Al-Rabiah wrote his opinion concerning the KKESH following an inspection of the hospital.
On arrival at the hospital, the minister was received by KKESH CEO Abdul-Elah bin Abbad Al-Towerki, and a number of officials.
The minister toured the hospital’s sections, including outpatient clinics, radiology section, diabetes center, operating rooms, intensive care unit, medical television, laboratory, eye bank, stem cell laboratory, central pharmacy and the outpatient clinics pharmacy.
Besides vsiting various departments, Al-Rabiah also talked to some patients in the short stay unit (SSU) and saw the services provided to them.
Al-Rabiah watched a brief presentation on the achievements of the Information Technology (IT) Department, which included the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the information technology in human resources, finance and procurement, in addition to the services provided to patients and visitors.
“It has been my pleasure to visit KKESH which is a leading hospital in the Middle East. I am so pleased and proud of its outstanding achievements. I know that a large number of people working in this field have graduated from this hospital, which was one of the first hospitals offering fellowship programs in this specialty,” said Al-Rabiah.
