JEDDAH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center implemented more than 80 aid and humanitarian programs in 2015 and 2016, which benefited more than 62 million people, with the participation of 70 partners.
The number of the center’s programs in Yemen stands at 29, serving 17.7 million people, with a cost of $193 million.
These programs include “the good trail ship,” and the food security support project in Taiz, benefiting more than 600,000 Yemenis.
The food security support program was implemented in other provinces in Yemen at a value of $4,394,000, in addition to another project worth $484,648.
Khaled Al-Salama, the director of the drive, said the Saudi National Campaign for the Relief of Syrian Refugees sent a relief convoy consisting of three trucks containing 12,000 Ramadan meals for Syrian refugees on the Syrian-Turkish border.
Badr Al-Samhan, regional director of the campaign, said Saudi Arabia stands by the Syrian refugees at all times.
