McDonald’s initiates charity campaign during holy month

McDonald’s Restaurants in Saudi Arabia has launched its annual Ramadan charity campaign aiming to support children in need and to encourage children to read books and pass their time with the family.
More than 185,000 books are expected to be sold during the holy month of Ramadan. McDonald’s aims to exceed the sum of money collected during last year’s books campaign which exceeded collecting SR1,455,000 for charity.
The four books — Rana Helps the Pets, Noor Approaches the Hearts, Nadeem Shortens Distances, and Sami Supports the Environment — were especially produced for McDonalds for the holy month. The books are designed to offer valuable life lessons to children and encourages them to practice good behavior, and aims implant the original Ramadan values in their hearts.
The four books are now available, for a limited period, in the 236 McDonald’s Restaurants.
The entire income from the book sales will be allocated exclusively to 14 charity associations during the year.
The four books are now available for sale in the McDonald’s Restaurants until the end of the holy month of Ramadan and at a price of SR10.
Each book includes texts in Arabic and English, and tells funny and enjoyable tales, especially when read in the presence of family members.
