Foreign professors sacked

MADINAH: The Taiba University has terminated the contracts of 150 foreign teaching staff in a step toward realizing the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program to Saudize such jobs. A letter from the director of teaching staff and employees informed the staff of the decision, which will be effective as of Aug. 3. The decision concerns male and female professors at the university and its branches in other provinces. The university would also restructure deanships and cut their number from 14 to seven.
