JEDDAH: The Ministry of Health on Tuesday urged those showing symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to visit Tetamman (rest assured) clinics to get tested for the virus.
The proactive approach of the health authorities is bearing fruit as the number of infections in the Kingdom is witnessing a decline. On Tuesday, only 399 new infections were recorded across the Kingdom. The total number of confirmed virus cases has reached 345,631 since the beginning of the pandemic. The ministry reported 426 new recovering raising the total number of people having recovered from the illness to 332,117.
Currently, there are 8,185 active cases receiving medical attention across the Kingdom.
With 16 new fatalities, the virus-related death toll has risen to 5,329.
The Health Ministry stressed the importance of taking precautions to keep the virus at bay. People have been asked to continue wearing masks and follow social distancing measures.
